Generating Revenue

My college experience has included many classes that have given me an understanding of revenue generation.

For example, my sport marketing course related directly to this topic. Our professor worked out an agreement with a collegiate summer baseball team called the Niagara Power and each class proposed multiple marketing plans for the organization to use. The class taught me how to appropriately collect and present data and innovative ideas about target markets, social media usage, and promotions. The Niagara Power founder, Cal Kern, was very impressed with my restaurant-themed cook-off promotion and said he planned on implementing similar promotions this upcoming season. As a marketing minor, several other classes have also helped me develop my competency in marketing as I now understand critical concepts like personal selling, advertising, consumer behavior, and marketing ethics. In addition, this semester I will be performing my own feasibility study for my Financing Sport Operations class. I will use a variety of sources to find out if it is feasible to launch a summer collegiate baseball team in Kent, Ohio. I plan to post the study here after I complete and present this exciting project to my class and professor next month.
